This is an event that all manufacturers from Asia looked forward to race. It is also the first ever FEMCA Buggy Championship held at the beautiful track in Malang, Indonesia.

There were altogether 149 drivers from all parts of Asia. Most of the racers were factory drivers from the following manufacturers, such as CasterRacing, GSracing, Hot Bodies, Hong Nor, HoBao, Kyosho, Mugen Seiki,
Mayhem, Sacker, Xray, etc. Some of the top FEMCA on- road drivers were also there to compete.

It was indeed a very happy team with the right spirit support for each other and the team would like to thank XRAY for their generous parts support.

Sam Cheng with his XB8-R/RBWS7 getting ready for his ¼ final run, car starting grid number 3 in the quarter finals. After the first 3-mins run, he moved up to 1st position and finished 1st.
In the Semi-Finals, his starting grid was 8th and he finished at 6th position with good timing thus moving up to main final. Sam said: ‶I used ‶Claw※ tirethroughout the whole race as it has given a very consistent grip making it easy to fine-tune my car. One major change that I did was changing to 3000 centre diff oil with very hard roll bar front and rear※.

This was his very first exposure and a very ‶newbee※ in this hobby with less than one year experience but who posses the right challenging spirit that he took up the challenge with Sam and ready for the ‶war※ and he exclaimed: ‶I’ve never expected this hobby to be so exciting and challenging… everyone is sooo fast!※

He specializes in real car modifications and prepares cars for the sprint and rally races.

A very fast Xray/JP Driver from Indonesia, Mr Stanley (right) with his personal mechanic on left. He was the first Indonesia driver to clock 18-laps qualifying behind Hara & Kenji, but had back luck in his semi final. I must thank Stanley for his setup during the practice day and all the help from Indonesia Xray team (Peter.W.). Looking forward to race with you guys again!

It was a fantastic and successful event. We would like to thank its organizer (ANDHY.D.), all officials, racers and its organizing members that involved in this event, without them this FEMCA event would not have been possible.
